Cornerstone Church,
One More Night with the Frogs
Ex 8:9-10 (NKJV) 9 And Moses said to Pharaoh, "Accept the honor of saying when I shall intercede for you, for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only." 10 So he said, "Tomorrow." And he said, "Let it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.
A few questions come to mind with this curious exchange between pharaoh and Moses. No doubt pharaoh is dealing with the plague of frogs just like everyone else in the land. The first couple of verse tell us that they were literally everywhere. In the ovens, on their bodies… not a comfortable situation. Why would God lead Moses to ask “When?” Maybe it is a test, but more likely God is revealing the stubborn heart of this king.
How often are we stubborn in our sin? How often do we continue to suffer when God has offered rescue and forgiveness? What sin strongholds could we give over to God today?
Hebrews 3:12-13 (NKJV) 12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Spring
As we begin to exit the “winter” months, and enter into Spring, I want to encourage you, Church. Spring is a time of new beginnings, rebirth, and growth. Nature is bouncing back from the cold months where everything was stagnant, students are ending their school-year and looking to the next, and Christians are looking toward the celebration of their Savior who rose from the grave, conquering sin and death.
In the next several weeks leading up to Resurrection Sunday, let’s do some homework together. Let’s study who Jesus is, what His earthly ministry looked like, and why He came to die for sinners like us. I would encourage you to read through the Gospel of John and catch a brief glimpse of Jesus and how He daily sought to glorify His Father, as He taught His disciples to do the same.
Let’s learn from this and strive to do the same, and let’s get ready to celebrate His Resurrection together!
